Schweiz schlägt Titelverteidiger zum Auftakt

Das Eröffnungsspiel beim Deutschland Cup 2012 in München zwischen der Schweiz und dem Titelverteidiger aus der Slowakei wurde vom Team von Sean Simpson mit 3:2 gewonnen.

Bereits nach nur 14 Sekunden ertönte die Sirene im Eisstadion am Oberwiesenfeld zum ersten Mal und die Schweizer Spieler jubelten, da Julien Walker auf Vorlage von Simon Bodenmann und Dennis Hollenstein das 1:0 markierte.

Im Mittelabschnitt kommen beide Mannschaften besser in Fahrt und die Slowakei erspielt sich vor allem in einigen Überzahlmöglichkeiten gute Torchancen, die vom Schweizer Goalie Gerber zu Nichte gemacht wurden. Nach einer weiteren Chance nutzten die Eidgenossen aus der Schweiz in der 35.Minute einen Nachschuss durch Simon Bodenmann zum 2:0.

Die Slowakei kann aber durch Marcel Hossa in der 38. Minute auf 2:1 verkürzen, bevor Simon Bodenmann im Powerplay mit seinem zweiten Treffer in diesem Spiel auf 3:1 erhöhte.

Im Schlussabschnitt versuchten die Slowaken den Druck auf das Schweizer Tor noch weiter auszubauen, doch dies konnte nicht erfolgreich gestaltet werden. In der 56. Minute konnten die Slowaken nochmals auf 3:2 durch ein Überzahltor von Michal Sersen verkürzen und sorgten für eine spannende Schlussphase als die Schweiz eine Minute vor Schluss durch eine Spieldauerstrafe in Unterzahl geriet. Vladimir Vujtek nahm noch eine Auszeit und seinen Torhüter für einen sechsten Feldspieler vom Eis, doch der Ausgleich konnte nicht erzielt werden.

Auf Seiten der Schweizer kann man die Spieler (15) Simon Bodenmann und (70) Denis Hollenstein mit jeweils 3 Punkten hervorheben.
