Deutschlandcup 2016 - Slowakei besiegt Kanada im Penaltyschiessen und hat eine Hand am Pokal

DC16 SVKvsCAN 020(Deutschlandcup) (CD) Die Slowakei konnte durch einen 4:3 Erfolg im Penaltyschiessen über Kanada mti dem zweiten Sieg die Tabellenführung übernehmen und hat bereits eine Hand an dem Titel des Deutschlandcup 2016.


 

Von Beginn an zeigten beide Teams ein schwungvolles und spannendes Spiel mit vielen Torchancen auf beiden Seiten. Beide Goalies zeigten sich heute von ihrer besten Seite. Den Führungstreffer für die Ahornblätter erzielte der Ex-DEL Spieler Kevin Clark (8.). Wenige Minuten später folgte aber sofort der Ausgleich durch Martin Gernat. Mit dem Remis ging es dann in die erste Drittelpause.

 

 

Im Mittelabschnitt wurde die Partie dann etwas rasanter und aggresiver und die Folge daraus waren einige Strafzeiten für beide Teams. Der Slowake Cajkovsky erhielt wegen Unsportlichkeit soghar eine 10minütige Disziplinarstrafe.

Der nächste Treffer fiel dann für die Slowaken in der 32. Minute durch Andrej Kudrna in Überzahl. Doch auch diese zwischenzeitliche Führung hielt nicht lange, denn nur 41 Sekunden später klingelte es auf der Gegenseite zum 2:2 Ausgleich von Matt Ellison. Weitere 40 Sekunden später erzielte Adam Janosik die erneute Führung zum 3:2 für die Slowakei.

 

 





Im letzten Drittel drückten dann die Ahornblätter auf den Ausgleich und konnten diesen auch in der 48. Minute durch Greg Scott erzielen. Mit dem Unentschieden nach der regulären Spielzeit ging es dann in die Verlängerung, die 3 gegen 3 gespielt wurde, aber keinen Sieger einbrachte. Der Extrapunkt ging dann im Penaltyschiessen durch den entscheidenden Schuss von Kapitän Vladimir Dravecky an die Slowakei, die damit morgen im letzten Spiel aus eigener Kraft den Turniersieg erreichen kann.

 

 

Für das Team von Bundestrainer Marco Sturm kann die Titelverteidigung bei Siegen gegen die Schweiz und Kanada und einer Niederlage der Slowaken im letzten Spiel noch möglich sein.
